Thanks to everyone who came to the launch yesterday, and to everyone who now owns the very first issue of conjunction; I hope you are enjoying them as much as I am (and that you are proudly displaying your Steve Nice edition on your bedroom walls…
I’d also like to give an enormous thanks to Mel from Free Space for all of her enthusiasm and hard work for conjunction.
Just trying to figure out the best way to sell these online, but if you are desperate for one (which you should be; they are beautiful) give me an email on nick@nickwoodworking.co.uk and we should be able to figure out a payment and sending scheme between us.
News on the next issue is sneakily placed in every copy of this issue and I’ll post all the information up on here in the next few weeks.
These little 32pp beauties are on their way; printed and bound. Details on how to buy them online will be up shortly, however you should come buy one in person, from our pop up shop in London this friday…more information HERE
CONJUNCTION ISSUE #0 LAUNCH NIGHT – 28th October 2011 (6pm – 9pm)
@ KENTISH TOWN HEALTH CENTRE / LONDON / NW5 2BX
______________________________________________________
Conjunction is a new Zine created by recent graduate Nick Wood. Launching at the Kentish Town Health Centre on 28th of October (6pm-9pm) in pop-up shop style, the evening promises to be an eclectic mix of art, talking and home made stew. The first issue will be on sale in a limited edition of 100 from a chipboard lemonade stand.
Conjunction stands for the marrying of ideas; together under one title our issue will span a wide mix of work and practices. Issue #0 is a starting point, and a connecting of links that might not otherwise meet. The Zine focuses on providing a printed place for ideas, preliminary or final. It’s an opportunity to deviate and explore. We like impurities, error and chaos.
Issue #0 is themed around ‘JUDGEMENT’ and we have some great work from a wide range of emerging artists and writers, all of which can be found on our website (http://conjunctionx260c.tumblr.com/issue0).
We have aims to become an artist lead non-profit organisation. All the money we make will be put straight back into funding new ideas and projects for Conjunction. We believe that the driving force of our society should be exploration, and with Conjunction we are thinking not just about creating a Zine but a fully functioning body of events, happenings and creations. This is the start.
For more information or if you have any questions please email nick@nickwoodworking.co.uk.
See you at the launch.
